Custom label artwork guidelines for hassle-free production

To maintain the highest printing standards and ensure a smooth production process, we've prepared artwork guidelines for custom labels. These include quick tips on font files, logo and artwork files, images, barcode numbers, bleeds, colours, and accepted graphic design files.
Fonts files
Please provide all fonts used in your project.
Files in which fonts have been "converted to paths" or "outlined" cannot be easily edited, so any required changes may incur additional charges.
Logo files
For the best print quality, all vector (line art) logos must be supplied in their original file format, such as EPS or Adobe Illustrator. Logos supplied as JPEGs (made up of dots) will not produce a good result when printed.
Artwork files
EPS or PDF formats are fine. Don't forget to include all linked files and specify any PMS colours. If using Photoshop, please supply the layered (.psd) file with separate image and text layers.
Image files
Please provide all images as separate files, even if they are embedded in your artwork. Images should be in 300 dpi and be printed in CMYK unless PMS duotone or monotone colours are specified.
Barcode numbers
Please provide barcode numbers along with your artwork. We will generate the barcode using software, printed at 85-100% magnification in accordance with GS1 guidelines.
Bleeds
Include a 3mm bleed.
Extend background colours or graphics 1.5mm beyond the dieline.
File formats
We accept Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign files (Mac or PC).
Number of colours
The maximum number of colours allowed is 8, or 7 if a varnish or laminate is applied.

Artwork up to 10MB can be emailed directly to your representative. For files larger than 10MB, please get in touch with our team.
