Last month insignia sponsored and exhibited at the Dairy Industry Association of Australia’s (DIAA) annual conference. Based on the theme of 'Managing Change In Our Industry & Association', the two-day event incorporated both a conference and a golf day and provided a platform for like-minded individuals to learn from one another and support the dairy industry.
Keeping with tradition, the conference began with their annual golf day held at St Lucia Golf Links. Members, sponsors and industry representatives alike gathered on the course for a day of social golfing with a bit of healthy competition. Various competitions were held throughout the day, one of which being insignia’s ‘nearest to the pin’ on Hole 8. Congratulations to our lucky winner!
Day two started bright and early with leading experts from varying backgrounds speaking on topics promoting fresh, innovative thinking. One of the presenters included Brett Wiskar, Chief Future Officer of Wiley. He delivered a compelling presentation 'Sustainability Trends in the Food Industry and their Application to the Dairy Sector', a very relevant topic for the industry.
In between sessions a trade display was open with exhibitors showcasing a variety of solutions including food safety, process automation and food processing. insignia addressed the ever-present topic of traceability, demonstrating coding, labelling and printing solutions to assist businesses with traceability across the entire supply chain. Our product experts were also on hand demonstrating Domino Cloud for the Ax-Series Continuous Inkjet Printer, the solution that helps maximise uptime through remote connectivity.
Overall, the two-day conference was an excellent platform to discuss key themes like sustainability, operational efficiency and traceability that are present in the industry, and ways of managing the change.
