AUSPACK 2017 Recap

Early this month insignia exhibited at AUSPACK, Australia's leading trade show exhibition for food, beverage, pharmaceutical, processing and packaging industries.

With over 6,000 visitors and 350 exhibitors showcasing the latest processing technologies and packaging solutions from around the globe, this was an event not to be missed.

insignia was proud to launch the revolutionary Domino Ax-Series continuous ink jet coders to the Australian market at AUSPACK. We also featured the Ax-550i model – designed for wash-down environments – under a constant stream of running water in a custom-built 'shower'! The Ax-Series sets a global benchmark for consistent high quality printing, productivity and total cost of ownership; click here for full details.

In addition to the Ax-Series, we were proud to display our full range of technologies and solutions on our stand, from Domino Fibre & C02 laser coders, automated carton & pallet labelling, film printing, and continuous & thermal ink jet; to blank & printed labels, thermal label printers, scanners, and mobile computers.

Our interactive pods gave visitors the opportunity to experience our technologies in action. These demonstrations included our Domino Fibre laser coding customised AUSPACK aluminium cans, and our CO2 laser scribing customised insignia pens and lollies. We also introduced an interactive software station, showing a look inside our automated labelling technology running on our conveyors; a preview of the Domino Cloud (measuring consumable consumption & OEE); and an interface from our software partner AutoCoding Systems.

Our sister company Signet also joined us on our stand to demonstrate the Lantech Q-300XT pallet wrapper working in collaboration with our Domino M-Series pallet labeller. It was a great opportunity to show our print and apply technology working in conjunction with a pallet wrapper for tertiary packaging applications.

During the four-day exhibition, we collaborated with Signet to host a best practice packaging optimisation seminar. Guest speakers Paul Horn from Lion, Bart Vansteenkiste from Domino and PK Ang from Thong Guan shared their insights and tips to help improve systems performance, maximise uptime (OEE), quality and total costs. AUSPACK will return bigger and better in 2019 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, we hope to see you there!
