When you invest in equipment you want to ensure your investment is protected. We understand our customers operate in mission-critical environments, so delivering ongoing service and support is part of our commitment to you. Every piece of equipment purchased from insignia is covered by a manufacturers warranty, but sometimes warranties can get confusing. That’s why we’ve put together this page, so you know what you’re covered for and what your options are in the event you need to make a warranty claim.

What does the warranty cover?

All printers come with a standard warranty term included by the manufacturer. Depending on the brand and product type, these warranties cover a different set period of time from purchase. Typically, all standard manufacturer warranties include all defects in quality of product and parts that are deemed manufacturer faults.

Does my warranty include on-site repair?

The manufacturer’s warranty as standard is return to base only. On-site warranty repair is only available for selected products covered under an insignia service contract. If you are interested in learning more about these extended plans, please contact your Account Manager or our Customer Care team.

Can I buy additional protection for my product?

Yes, you can - most manufacturers offer extended warranty plans, these can include coverage for consumable items such as batteries, print heads and platen rollers. If you are interested in learning more about these extended plans, please contact your Account Manager or our Customer Care team.

How can I tell if my product is still under warranty?

The warranty starts from the date of purchase from insignia, so the warranty period can be calculated from the time that has passed since purchase. If the product is within the warranty timeframe you may be eligible to claim for repair under warranty. Please note all repairs within warranty are decided by product manufacturer.

Can I get service if I don't have warranty coverage?

Yes, you can - insignia provides after sales service and support for all products sold by insignia. Please contact our Technical HelpDesk for advice on the repair of your product.

How do I submit a repair request?

You can submit a repair request by completing the Technical Support Enquiry form on the insignia Support Hub, or by contacting our Technical HelpDesk on 1800 804 445 or service@insignia.com.au.

  • Product damaged to the extent that the Product serial number is no longer verifiable;
  • Damage sustained due to chronic negligence, deliberate abuse or repair/modification by an unauthorised party;
  • Damage caused by a force majeure event
  • Accidental damage is decided by manufacturer in question at the time of inspection
