Earlier this month our insignia graduates attended their first graduate conference for 2018. As part of the two-year Winson Group graduate program, graduates from both insignia and Signet participate in two conferences per year each based around a different theme. This conference focused on Career Planning and was held at the beautiful Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron in Manly.
Throughout the day the graduates absorbed advice from speakers sharing insights and advice on career progression, acing the internal interview and developing your personal brand. They were given an open dialogue with senior management across the Winson Group, and their fellow graduates gaining insight from others’ experiences. The formal part of the conference wrapped up with some practical tips on building and developing their respective career paths.
The day wasn’t over yet though. For the afternoon they got stuck into some team building activities from sailing to stand up paddle boarding, building relationships with team members and managers from across the business. To finish the day, they got to test their new career building skills, networking with a range of department managers and graduate program alumni over dinner. With the conclusion of dinner and presentations, another successful graduate conference had come to a close.
