Uploading Artwork for Custom labels
The most secure and efficient way to send your artwork is to upload the files through our website. Please include your company name and contact information. An automated notification email will be sent to insignia art notifying them of your upload.
We suggest submitting your design as early as possible for review.
Please ensure you have read the below guidelines before uploading any artwork.
Artwork Guidelines for Custom labels
We ACCEPT the following formats:
- EPS or PDF files
- Convert all fonts to outlines or provide fonts with digital file
- For optimum quality, all vector (line art) logos must be supplied in their original file format, ie. EPS or Adobe Illustrator. Do not supply as jpeg files (made up of dots) as these will not produce a good result when printed
- Supply all images as separate files even if they are embedded in the file
- Images print as CMYK unless marked as duo/mono tone and must be 300dpi
- Clearly mark any PMS colours to be used
- Include 3mm bleed
- The maximum number of colours that can be used is 8, or 7 if a varnish or laminate is required
- Please submit barcode numbers with your artwork. We will reproduce your barcode using our software. Barcodes will be printed at 85-100% magnification to GS1 guideline specifications
- Please supply a viewing reference PDF with all files
Proofing: Before sending your artwork to us it is advisable to do one final copy and content check. Corrections or modifications required after artwork has been received may incur additional charges.
We CANNOT ACCEPT the following formats:
- Corel Draw
- Any Microsoft files such as Word, Excel, Publisher or Powerpoint
- Freehand
- QuarkXpress
- Any files downloaded from the internet, as these will be 72dpi which is too low a resolution for printing
