1. Application Survey
This is our discussion and discovery phase. Your business, operational and marketing needs are explored and specialist insignia teams define material and production solutions. If variable information is required on your label, such as for barcoding, ingredients and best before dates, then overprint label solutions are also explored.
Once the best label solution is identified, your estimate is prepared with a focus on maximising efficiency. This is then presented in person and thoroughly discussed, with optimum supply strategies being determined.
2. Artwork / Proof
During this creative phase, insignia’s trained graphic designers develop your logos and graphics into label artwork. You will be presented with a high quality proof that can be discussed and evaluated by the brand stakeholders within your organisation.
3. Pre Press
Once the label proof is signed off, the production components of your label are prepared. To reach a stage of complete press-readiness, flexographic plates are generated, dies are ordered and any special inks are formulated.
4. Manufacturing / Production
Manufacturing is the main event, as your label steps through our strict quality controlled process on the flexographic press. Initially your labels will be printed onto one giant roll, later to be rewound to their final roll length. The printed product must then pass our final inspection before being batch numbered and packed.
5. Despatch
The supply strategy formulated during the survey phase pays off with prompt despatch and quick delivery nation-wide.
6. Follow-up
insignia’s labelling partnerships continue well beyond the press. As you put your label to use, follow-up investigations confirm our product is performing to expectation. Proactive account management by your Account Manager also ensures that your relationship with insignia continues to offer quality and added value.
